Dhanush Early Life:
Dhanush was born in Chennai, on 28 July 1983 to an Indian film director Kasthuri Raja and Vijayalakshmi as Venkatesh Prabhu. Dhanush has completed his education from St. John’s Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Alwarthirunagar. Dhanush has one brother named Selvaraghavan, who is also a director. Dhanush is the son-in- law of Super star Rajnikanth.
Career:
- Dhanush made his acting debut with Kasthuri Raja’s film ThulluvadhoIlamai. Later Dhanush Acted in the directional debut movie of his brother, KadhalKondein.
- In 2007, he got block buster with Polladhavan.
- The next year, Dhanush got a Big Block buster with Yaaradi Nee Mohini in which he paired opposite Nayantara. In 2011 his movie Aadukalam was the super hit.
- Not only acting, Dhanush also worked as playback singer, producer and lyricist as well.
- Dhanush produces films under his production company, Wunderbar Films
- Dhanush occasionally records music, generally for his own films.
- In 2011 a song “Why this Kolaveri Di” was released on YouTube as part of the soundtrack for the film 3, which is the directorial debut of his wife Aishwarya Dhanush. The song became the most searched video in India. It is the first Indian song to cross 100 million views.
- Anirudh Ravichander was the composer for the film and Dhanush wrote much of the lyrics.
- He has also sung “No Problem” in the Kannada movie Vajra kaya and “Thikka” in the Telugu movie Thikka.
