Madhuri Dixit was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra on May 15, 1967 to Shankar Dixit and Snehalatha Dixit. She has 2 sisters and one brother. Madhuri Dixit did her schooling at Divine Child High School and later graduated from Mumbai University. She is very much passionate about dance from her childhood and so started learning Dance. She is an expert Kathak dancer. Dixit wanted to become a Micro-biologist and also pursued it from Parle College, Vile Parle (East), Bombay but later shifted to acting.
Career:
- Madhuri made her debut in 1984 with the film Abodh.
- She became famous and established in the industry with the films Ram Lakhan (1989), Parinda (1989), Dil (1990), Saajan (1991), Beta (1992), Khalnayak (1993), Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994), Raja (1995), and Dil Tho Pagal Hai (1997), Anjaam (1994), Mrityudand (1997), Pukar (2000), Lajja (2001) and Devdas (2002) etc.
