Neha Kakkar was born on 6th June 1988 in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. She was brought up in Delhi. She was in class 11 when she was participating in Indian Idol. She recorded a song about Shahrukh Khan which was a huge hit on Youtube, it was later named as SRK anthem. From then she has been singing for Bollywood.

Neha is the daughter of Rishikesh Kakkar and Niti Kakkar, her brother tony Kakkar was a music composer. He composed music for the films like Creature 3D, Prague and Hanju.
