Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Profile: Rahat Fateh Ali khan was a pakistani Playback singer and record artist. Very well known for his Qawwalis and ghazels. He is the nephew of singer Nusrat Fateh Alik khan a singer, grand son of Fateh Ali Khan and son faruk Fateh Ali khan who is also a singer. He ha s given number of concerts in various countries.
He has performed in many concerts and shows and also appeared in TV shows. He sung numerous numbers of songs and won many awards like Film fare etc.
Rahat Fateh Ali khan was born in Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan in a musical family. Music was taught for him by his Uncle Nusrat Fateh Ali khan. He was trained in Qawwalis by his uncle. Later he started singing with his dad and uncle from the age of 3. At the age of 9 he performed in public for the first time at the death anniversary of his grandfather.
Career:
In 1985 he performed his first solo ghazel. From then he used perform live shows and concerts. In 2003 he debuted his playback singing with the movie Paap. He has performed in India, Pakistan, UK.
He also contributed sound tracks for Hollywood with the collaboration of bands and singers in the years 1995, 2002 and 2006 with the movies Dead man walking, The Four Feathers and Apocalypto respectively.
In Television he judged for shows like Choate Usthaad2 and Junoon – KuchhKarDikhaaneKaon NDTV in 2008.
He was the first Pakistani to be invited for the Noble peace prize in 2014 to give his concert in which he performed Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s most memorable qawwali “TumheDillagi…” and “Mast Qalandar.
UN general assembly concert conducted Pakistani Day for the first time. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was the sole Performer in the concert in which nearly 140 countries have participated.
Fateh Ali Khan appeared in many shows and concerts with Qawwalis and new compositions.
Personal life:
Rahat Fateh Ali khan married Nida Khan and the couple had a son Shazmaan Khan.
