Rituparna was born on 7th November 1971, in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. From the young age she is very much interested in Singing, dancing, painting, handicrafts etc. She graduated in History from Lady Bra Bourne College. Later she started studying Modern History for an M.A. at University of Calcutta, but discontinued to be an actress.
