Shantanu Mukherjee was born on 30th September 1972 in a musical family. His grandfather Jahar Mukarjee was a Lyricist, his father Manas Mukherjee was a music director (late), he lost his father at his 13, so Shaan’s mother started profession as singer to run the whole family. His sister Sagarika was a singer. He has many hits songs and albums in his career. He sung numerous numbers of songs and won many awards like Film fare etc.
Career:
He started his career singing for advertisements. At the age of 17 hesung a single line in “Kitni Hai PyariPyariDostiHamari”.
Shaan and his sister Sagarika’s career started when they signed up with Magnasound recording company and recorded a few successful albums, their recordings include the hit album Naujawan followed by Q – Funk, which sold a million copies.
He along with his sister entered into pop world started doing albums and remixes. Their remix song Roop Thera Masthana brought them a huge recognition.
In 2000 he won MTV award for TanhaDil his solo album. The success continued with his released albums and songs.
In 2004 Shaan released TomarAakash, a Bengali album,with his sister containing his father’s unreleased songs. He also planned to release an album remaking his father’s compositions with his sister in Hindi. He recently sang one of his father’s compositions on sets of STAR Plus’s Music Ka Maha Muqqabla .

Shaan was married to Raadhika and the couple had 2 children, they were soham and shubh.
