Shriya Saran was born on Dehradun and spent most of her childhood in Haridwar. Her father Pushpendra Saran Bhatnagar is works in an electric company and her mother Neeraja Saran Bhatnagar is a chemistry teacher in Delhi Public School, Haridwar and Shriya completed her schooling education at the same school where her mother taught. Shriya completed her graduation in BA at lady Shriram College in Delhi. She has an elder brother also named Abhiroop. Shriya Saran wants to become a well-known dancer.

Shriya Started career with Telugu movies, She made her debut in 2001 with the Telugu Movie “Ishtam” but her first commercial success was Santosham Movie (2002) and got success with the second movie..
