Udith Narayan Profile: Udit Narayan Jha Popularly known as Udit Narayan is a famous Indian Play back singer. He sings mainly inHindi and for bollywood movies. He also sings in langauges like Bhojpuri, Nepali, Kannada, Tulu, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and sindhi etc. He was the receipient of Padma sri and Padma Bushan.
He has performed in many concerts and shows and also appeared in TV shows. He sung numerous numbers of songs and won many awards like Film fare etc.
Udit Narayan was born in Supaul District which was in Bihar. He studied in Jageshwar High School, Kunauli, Supaul, India, in which he finished his SSC and later obtained his intermediate degree from Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus, Kathmandu.
Career:
His career started in 1970 as a folk singer for Nepal radio. He continued to sing and later after * years Narayan moved to Mumbai.
In 1980, noted music director Rajesh Roshan asked him to playback sing for the Hindi film “Unees Bees”. Narayan was given the opportunity to sing with the veteran singer Mohammed Rafi. Soon after, Narayan sang for a number of other movies, including Bade Dil Wala in 1983, where he sang a duet with legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar composed by legendary music director R D Burman.
He has also sung with Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna and Dev Anand. Most of his duets are with Alka Yagnik.
He has sung more than 30,000 songs in over 36 languages.
He has collaboration with many music directors and singers.
As actor:
Narayan acted in and sang all the songs in a 1985 Nepali movie called Kusume Rumal, which spent 25 weeks in the box office top ten lists and became the highest-grossing Nepalese movie of all time until overtaken in 2001 by another TulsiGhimire film, Darpan Chaya.
Personal Life:
Udith married Ranjana Narayan Jha in 1984 but this continued just for 1year and then married to Deepa Narayan Jha singer in 1985. They had son Aditya Narayan who is a singer and actor.
